Memorial at Creekside Park Denver, Colorado:

When: Tuesday, April 27, 10:00 a.m.
Where: Banks of Cherry Creek at the Cherry St. bridge in Glendale Parking at nearby Creekside Park, Clermont and Virginia Ave.

Following shots were taken by Eric's good friend Neil Kirby.

Ron Martinez is Eric's executor and long time friend who set up the memorial:

Mementos of Eric's.  Sports, Computer Game covers, and very few photos:

We gathered at the left edge of the picture.  This is Cherry Creek, and Eric used to run through the park.  He lived about a block or two from here:

The rocks make a natural amphitheatre.  The running path is in the background:

Of all the shots I took, this one has the most emotional impact.  A bunch of guys (none of which are noted for expressing strong feelings) gathered around to say good-bye to a friend.  He died doing what he loved to do and lived as it suited him.  His legacy is in the people who he touched.  This is Denver in early spring, and a thousand feet higher there is snow still.  This is as green as it gets, which looks like near-drought where I am from.  Green among an otherwise stark landscape.  It felt like some shot out of a western movie:
